On-Line Lessons

Now you can take banjo lessons from Ned over the internet... no matter where you are!


Here’s what you need:


  1. 1.A computer with a web-cam, microphone & speakers and a fast internet connection (DSL or Cable)

  2. 2.A video chat application such as Skype, AIM or iChat

  3. 3.A credit card or PayPal account

  4. 4.A banjo


Web-cam Lesson Rates:


  1. •$30 for 30-minutes

  2. •$60 for 60 minutes

  3. •$100 for 2 hours

  4. •Two hour rate may also be used to pay for two 60-minute lessons or four 30-minute lessons. [Multiple lessons must be taken within 30 days of purchase.]


Scheduling Lessons:


When emailing to schedule lessons, please let me know what days and times are convenient for you. For example, if you are usually available on weeknights between 6:00 and 10:00pm (please include your time zone!) but have a bowling league on Tuesdays, let me know that. If your time is more limited, please list 3 possible days and times when you are available and I will try to accommodate you. Also, include your telephone number in your email. I may need to call you if our internet connection is lost.


How to prepare:


Have a couple of topics that you wish to work on. I may ask you to play something for me, so be prepared to do that. Try to set up your computer and web-cam in a location that has plenty of light and few distractions. It’s hard to concentrate on a banjo lesson with someone watching TV in the background. You may also record your video lesson for playback later. There are several video recording applications for Skype, AIM and iChat available. A few of my students use Call Recorder and tell me it works well.


How to Pay:


        Payment is through PayPal. Schedule your lesson with Ned by emailing ned@nedski.com and then choose one of the options below.

Banjo Lessons in Nashville

Ned teaches private, one-on-one banjo lessons in Nashville, Tennessee. You can sign up for monthly lessons or, if you are visiting Nashville, Ned is also available for individual, single lessons.


Lesson rates:


  1. •Single lesson - $60 per hour or $30 for 30 minutes.

  2. •Monthly - $100 per month for one, 30-minute lesson once per week. Months with 5 weeks - there is no additional charge for the 5th week!
